Journalism
Given the vast extension of Oliphant's journalistic output, it would be quite impossible for me to offer a comprehensive list in here. For such information the reader should consult Clarke's excellent bibliography of her non-fiction [Clarke, John Stock. Margaret Oliphant, 1828–1897: Non-fictional Writings: A Bibliography. Queensland, Australia: Victorian Research Guides, 1997]. However, as samples of her work I will include here a growing collection of e-texts from her articles. These e-texts have been scanned, proofread and annotated by me and therefore I apologise in advance for all possible mistakes or omissions. I will be thankful to receive corrections, suggestions and contributions.

"A Commentary from/in an Easy-Chair" in The Spectator
"A Commentary from/in an Easy-Chair" are a series of 33 articles Oliphant contributed to The Spectator from December 1889 to November 1890. Like the series "The Looker-on" contributed to Maga and "A Fireside Commentary" to St. James Gazette, these are essentially miscellaneous articles which allowed Oliphant to comment on a wide range of topics, as varied as social events, politics, art, literature and gossip, among others.
